How programmable are the keys? When you program in the changes, are they stuck with the keyboard, or are they stored locally on the computer?

DHNishiBased on @intelli78 's review, it sounds like programming is stored on the board:
"The write-protect switch is located next to the cable attachment, and determines whether the keyboard’s layout can be reprogrammed using RK’s downloadable software utility. 1 = protected, 0 = unprotected. More on that shortly."
