Could you please tell if this is thin sweater or thick sweater ? I dont know what measurements are considered for thinness or thickness, but just to give you an idea, I consider a formal woolen vest is thin. I guess what I am trying to understand is although it says good for spring or fall, can it withstand US East Coast winters. If the sweater is thick and is wool and Angora, then I would think it could give considerable warmth.

From the vendor: "the sweater is knit on a 15 gauge Bentley Cotton plain frame machine; it equates to 15 needles to the inch and a half on the knitting machine needle bed" In layman's terms; this is not a chunky sweater. IMHO, I think this a great layering piece, but would not be as warm as a fisherman's or chunky cable knit.
