Oh... how come you want to sell this product since you not seller.
Are you fake seller? That you want to trying to tell me??
Massdrop please take note of this.
Massdrop Teams, Please do something for me.
LOUISLLKDude... I'm not trying to sell you anything lol
I couldn't be more clear in saying in both my posts that I am NOT the seller. Heck, I even said in this and other posts that I don't find their work to be that impressive.
I was just trying to help you out, as a fellow community member here, to fix what you were unhappy with.
If you want massdrop to do something for you, you need to go to your transactions page and click contact support under this product in your purchases list.
They're never going to see your random comment on a listing that's been closed for 2+ months.
That said, i doubt there is anything they are going to do for you after waiting 2 months to ask for assistance.
Especially when it's not actually a defective product, it's just different from what you thought you were getting.
The description for what you bought highlighted the fact that this leather will build "patina" over time. That's another way of saying the discoloration and staining you're seeing after handling it.
Maybe I'm just missing the "rustic" appeal of this brand?
But I don't see the quality other people seem to see in these pieces.
Unfinished edges, uneven cuts, rough backsides instead of using a better quality leather that's smoothly milled to thickness, sketchy stitching, utilizing pieces with scars and blemishes....and that's just in the production photos
Could literally make this with about $5 worth of leather and half an hour of time.
Or, could make it properly by adding about 10 more minutes for finishing and making better choices in materials
KavikI wholly agree with you. It looks unfinished, unrefined, unpolished, and made by elementary students. The edges are poorly cut, the stitching is passable I suppose. The leather itself looks like 2 or 3 oz product that you would use to line higher quality products. Rustic shouldn't mean bad. This is bad.
Cry_DubsAgreed on the look of the piece... But according to the reviews people say the leather is too thick
Makes me wonder if the images are just misleading? Or if they aren't all made with the same leather?
Would be a lot more enticing if there was choice over the included books; I never use graph paper and don't need even more useless stuff hanging around.
sumoshaI think I figured it out. On Goulet, the"field notes" notebooks are 3.5 * 5.5 inches. I'm assuming this is a standard (unless someone wants to chime in and correct me). It looks like the "pocket" sized Goulet notebooks would also fit.
I don't personally own one of these as I own one made from another brand, but a concern I had when picking one out was how far the leather sleeve extends. This seems to go about halfway down the cover of the notebook which may cause an annoying bump if you write with the sleeve on.
I notice that people say that this case is a bit too large for a pocket and that it's somewhat larger than it needs to be for a fieldnotes book. Have these 'issues' been addressed? I'm looking to be able to put it in a back pocket of my jeans.
TIA
J
Liz - The support team stated that they were going to send a replacement in the correct color in 1-3 days, but that was on September 12th. I haven't heard anything else from them and it's been 16 days. Are you able to check on this for me? This is my first experience with Massdrop and I must say it has been pretty poor. Extensive delays, incorrect product shipped, and failure to resolve the issue when it has been reported...
I appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide.
