A great way to learn how to build and program Micro:bit-compatible devices, the SainSmart Micro:bit Inventor kit is filled with components to help ease you into electronics theory. Inside, you’ll find a Micro:bit board, a breadboard, a breakout board, a servo, a straight pin header, a curving pin header, resistors, colored LEDs, potentiometers, buzzers, buttons, jumper wires, and an array of sensors. Only half the size of a credit card, the Micro:bit board packs a 16MHz, 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 microcontroller with a 256KB flash memory card, and a 16KB RAM card to help it power through any task. The kit will teach you how to assemble and use basic sensors, create flashing light patterns, take temperature measurements, and more—all with guided walk-throughs on how to complete each project.
