Marchon Eyewear holds the license to manufacture Salvatore Ferragamo sunglasses (from 2012 to 2021), and they stated in a press release (in 2015) that they are exclusively made in Italy. So I'm a bit confused about the fact these are made in Japan. Don't get me wrong - Japan produces some of the finest quality eyewear in the world - I'd just like clarification about the authenticity of this product. The only other place I've seen these frames sold is from traders on eBay and on '1 day sale' sites.

SmithyNZHi! We just spoke with the vendor, who deals with Marchon directly. While the majority of SF eyewear may be made in Italy, these specific ones are made in Japan. They pulled a number of units from their stock to verify.
