Honestly dissapointed AF.
Even on the packing slip that came in the box it says RX480 Nitro+. Thats what we want Massdrop. IDC about a refund, I waited 1 entire fucking month after buying it and I got the wrong card.
Left Is a Asus Strix OC RX 480 8GB
Right is this Nitro card.
Time Spy: http://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/1290147/spy/1314639
Firestrike: http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/11846654/fs/11888308
( Don't look at score, the big number can sometimes mislead you, I took all the +% and averaged them to get the below %)
Hope that helps guys, I know the results are a bit skewed with the Strix on the 1350Hz OC but look, only an average of 7.8% difference in the Firestrike and 7.07% in Time Spy test.
1350Mhz Versus 1306Mhz
So its not all doom and gloom if we really compare this Drop to a stock Sapphire Nitro+ I'm sure there would only be 3-4% difference or less!, can you guys live with that?
For me as a Canadian this was a great deal on a RX 480 8GB so I'm kind of happy.
That's all well an good, but the fact is the product was not as advertised and is available at a cheaper price at other retailers without the one month wait etc.
Wow... it seems like we paid $30+ more than we should. The reps from the company even came on here to tell us not to worry it was a previously unreleased NITRO+ ... all very shady. This was my first drop and it has not been a very good experience. To top it off many of us live abroad and shipping it back is prohibitively expensive. I bought this because it was supposed to have RGB man!
Ok, so we now know it's the Nitro instead of the Nitro+, but my question is, has anyone actually booted it up and ran benchmarks to see if it actually performs any differently to the Nitro+ card?
I live in Australia so I paid about 317aud, whereas a nitro+ retails for about 370aud.
Can anyone tell me if the nitro really is worth $50 less than the nitro+?
REFUND PLEASE
Email from massdrop:
We wanted to reach out and let you all know that there was a discrepancy on the drop page for the Sapphire Nitro video card. The title of this drop was incorrectly displayed as the “Sapphire Nitro +”, when it should have been the “Sapphire Nitro”. All the details on the drop page and listed specs were accurate to the Sapphire Nitro model you received, but we understand the confusion caused by the inaccurate display title. Our apologies for any confusion this caused, but we did want to clarify for everyone that the item in this drop is in fact the Sapphire Nitro. We have updated the name in the drop to the correct title. If you feel you did not receive what you were expecting, please reply to this email and someone will help you get everything sorted out.
This is the email I received about the error in the product, sadly they didn't notice that the pictures were incorrect either, which lead many of us to think this was the Nitro+ edition. I hope they follow up and give us some sort of compensation or refund.

Man...even if they do...how the fck am i suppose to shipt it back...im from malaysia...are they going to cover up the shipping fess over here???
given that our currency is dropping like hell....
Nvm I found it. But this is not the card I thought it was. On the Massdrop Page it showed that it had RGB and this card doesn't. I thought this was a Nitro +, but it is just a Nitro. Very disappointed in Massdrop, never buying from them again.
I just got mine today, however, I have run across a major issue (and will be putting in a ticket presently). This was advertised as a Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 480, but when I recieved my product, it was a Sapphire Nitro Radeon RX 480 OC. Has anyone else come across this issue? If you don't have the box, the simplest way to figure it out is to check where the 8 pin header is. If it is on the top of the card, it is a Nitro. If it is on the back side of the card, it is a Nitro+.
Wow this sucks, so many people disappointed. MSI had there's on sale in my area and it has the same clock speed as the one we got and it was about the same price as this but you can change the logo color and it has red LED fan rights too. I hope we can get some better understanding and clarification on what happened and what can be done for us
It says that this has a clock of 1202 MHz engine clock 1306 MHz Boost engine clock, this one also is supposed 1.21 GHz with Boost of up to 1.34 GHz. Just wondering if that is the same? As far as I remember, 1.21 GHz is 1210 MHz and 1.34 GHz is 1340 MHz.
I got a display port cable before with an MSI 7600 GTX card, so I thought I'd check if anyone knew about this card. I'm just gonna keep using the DVI I'm currently using. Thanks for answering BTW :)
I really hope that, once I get the RX480 I won't have to send in for a replacement card, as I've read some recent reviews from other websites complaining about instability in some cards.
Does massdrop qualify as an official SAPPHIRE distributor or reseller? (I just want to know for warrantly purchases) As if they're not and the card gets damaged in shipping to New Zealand I'll be screwed....
