I wouldn't pay $20 for this.. Everything screams "cheap"... Bold "Made in China" ( Not that everything China produces is bad... to be fair it is usually Americans telling Chinese manufacturers to make the products as cheap as possible - but if I'm spending $200 on a leash I would go with something European ) on the face, a "Genuine Leather" wristband ( which is code for the cheapest layer of hide instead of full-grain, and it is usually thickened with paper or cardboard.. maybe even asbestos [ which I have found in some belts ] )...

pxtangI doubt he does, he's dumped in the same barely relevant response in several places in this thread today. Sea-gull is pretty well known to the watch community, they make something like 25% of all automatic movements produced (under a variety of manufacturers). It's not Swiss quality sure, but you're also paying 1/3 or less what you'd pay for an OK Swiss watch. For what you pay I think they're decent value.
I have one from a previous drop (I linked above) and it's actually not a bad watch. The clasp mechanism is not my favorite ever, but it's been accurate and the 40 hour runtime is spot on. If you like the look, I'd give it a go. I'm not disappointed with mine and even if the guy above doesn't like the band, that's hardly a reason to avoid a watch - that's the one piece that's easily and cheaply replaceable. He wasn't even speaking about the bands on these, so he might need to take his conspiracy theories elsewhere. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/seagull-819-317-watch/talk http://watchguy.co.uk/comparison-sea-gull-st2130-eta-2824-2-peacock-sl3000/

epsilon748That's what I was thinking. Trying to get him to admit he doesn't actually know what he's talking about, since he doesn't own the watch.
I own a Rodina - to my knowledge, they share parts with Sea-gull - and I'm pretty happy with it.

AcecoolYou are lacking knowledge on Sea-Gull watches. Actually, they are worth it, among the best watch manufacturers in China. The strap is pretty shitty, I do agree here. But change it for better one and the watch will shine.
