Pros:
definitely waterproof even when submerged for long periods
lightly insulated, good for cooler weather
nice tight fit
good grip on palm and fingers for holding a knife
allow for better response than thicker gloves
extremely durable
heat resistant and can be used as an effective pot holder
Cons:
not great for summer, hands get sweaty
not as responsive as my Mechanix originals or my Hatch dura thin search gloves
the seam at the fingertips is too thick and somewhat uncomfortable
I wouldn't be comfortable firing a weapon with these gloves.
I would buy these again. They have replaced my Mechanix in the colder months. Definitely worth the money. I would like to have a pair of waterproof gloves like these with thinner material and thinner fingertip seams for summer weather.
These are close fitting, comfortable gloves and serve me well when manipulating firearms. They provide sufficient protection from hot firearms and provide excellent tactile qualities for manipulating controls and the trigger.
Very nice gloves, a bit thick fabric but it softens up after a day use.
Nice fit and very precise handling when on. Warm and dry in pouring cold rain up in North of Norway.
I just love them!
There's a bit of Jekyll and Hyde about these gloves. Unfortunately there's more of Mr Hyde because, based on my experience, they are simply NOT waterproof. During a few days of cycling in cool, mainly fine weather, they seemed fine. They shielded my hands well from the chill. However when I spent a day walking in persistent rain, they were wet through within 30 minutes. This was particularly the case when when I gripped wet rock or vegetation while ascending/descending a mountain. My hands ended up so wet and so cold, that I chose to turn back early. Given what they seemed to offer, I am very disappointed with their real-world performance.
Uncomfortable, cold, and in no way waterproof.
Index finger ripped open on my first use, just collecting kindling.
Worthless gloves. I'm glad I didn't pay full price.
I have had great experiences using these for bicycle touring. A great windproof non-insulated option. They are stylish and very fairly priced on this drop. I recognize that gloves are rarely waterproof, but these are less waterproof than sealskinz socks. Throughout two weeks of canoe touring, these gloves were soaked through nearly everyday.
