If you were to save the $200 you would waste on this disposable trinket, and repeat that process 9 more times, you’d have a plethora of used, grey market, and brand spanking new Breitlings, Tudors, and Omegas to choose from - all with better movements, better quality, and better value retention. If instead you insist on wasting your hard earned money, be prepared for wild swings in accuracy, several quality control issues, and eventually relegating this trinket to your wasted-money watch drawer of shame. You’re welcome. You’re all welcome.

WatchyoutalkingaboutNot disposable. Your apple watch is disposable though. Sorry we're not all made of money and can't throw shit in the garbage for fun because we dont care about the earth.

ThetruthCouple things. 1) I don’t have an Apple Watch. 2) I worked for money and saved up to buy my nicer watches. 3) if you actually care about the environment, buying cheaply made asian watches that are produced in countries with lax regulations, shipped halfway around the world, and break down only to be thrown away is probably not the best route to go and instead you should 5) Get a better education, which will lead to a better job, which will allow you to buy a real watch. Thanks for playing, better luck next time!

Certainly they work, but as @MarPabl points out there are better values available. And to @bulbul who claims "a Seiko is a Seiko" I say BUNK! These are the most un-Seiko looking Seikos to come down the pike in a long, long while. Seiko has drifted so far from it's core strengths, that even the "5" line has become virtually unrecognizable to those of us who were drawn to the brand during what I suppose we can now call it's "Glory Days"--the 60s, 70's and 80's. True, the movements have improved greatly over the years (as I imagine so have manufacturing methods and costs) but stylistically--things have gone straight into the dumper. Somewhere along the line Seiko made a decision to neuter their entry line of Dive and Tool watches and replace it with these rather androgynous looking safer bets--apparently designed not to offend or draw undue attention, while at the same time, using the line as a foundation for such dubious offerings as their limited edition Street Fighter series (a line not nearly limited enough, in my opinion), and an embarrassing attempt to capture an audience they never really had: two or three generations of phone toting X, Y, and Z-ers who have no earthly idea what a watch is actually for. In other words, because of how they're manufactured today, the same watch can be offered in flavors from dull to cartoonish simply by pressing a different button somewhere high up in a booth overlooking a largely automated watch factory; same watch guts and case, different dial and strap--much the way Nabisco makes various cookies one imagines. Unfortunately, in Seiko's recipe, the missing ingredient is sex appeal!

This is the Alpinist, I have since ordered a "vintage" style tan alligator leather style strap, for it as the black one feels like vinyl, probably very durable , but I don't really need that. The other watch is the Geckota C-03 I bought 6 weeks ago in their sale at around $170 usd. running a NH35 movement ,but I did add the racing style rally strap as the "sailcloth" strap it came with felt really cheap. The watch is quite impressive in quality, a really interesting metal pressed dial, has that Hamilton Pan Europ feel, shame the bezel doesn't rotate as the lume is really good. I thought the price was quite reasonable compared to their new release the Phalanx, although it looks great and runs a 2824-2, it's still made in china and at around $900 usd. it may be just that tad too expensive. Maybe Libellcca should get them!!!!LOL.

JAone Pretty impressive looking pair! Don't forget to post some wrist shots of both, especially with the Alpinist with that new tan alligator strap--sounds down right exotic!

I 👁 your . if someone prefers the design of these ⌚ it's fine. Personally, I like Seiko ⌚ beginning from Prospex and Presage models. But unfortunately the prices they're charging nowadays make me 💭 twice if there's another ⌚ which may be better... and in most cases I'm able to find such other ⌚ and I'm not considering micro brands 😐

Just bought the SRPE61. Love the dial, the simplicity of the design and the 40mm size. Nor seen anything else on here that has interested me recently and it will go nicely with my old “5”. $277.78 Australian delivered.

Gotta say I liked it too but GMT makes little sense in Adelaide’s odd time zone.

AmsterdamnedCurrently GMT doesn't make sense anywhere even if crossing the ditch "bubble" becomes a more common thing, but it does look good. At least in Adelaide like Queensland there is half a chance of some timezone travel in the next few months; Wa and NSW as well as Vic. I think may struggle to get there as quickly. I must admit I don't even use my chronos, a lot of people don't ,it's just that the complication adds to the appearance of some watches. Anyway, I think that was the last really good Swiss deal I remember , although the current Zeppelin is IMO, a good deal and very attractive watch(I really do think it is a good movement); most local, and I mean sub asia, and US. prices seem to be around $700 aud. so under $400 aud .is pretty good - if you want a dress watch or minimalist.

What happened to the SRPE61? Is it no longer available? If so... any chance to re-stock it? It would be great... come on massdrop!

I don't say you shouldn't buy this watch, but I do say you shouldn't pay too much for it. In this instance, your pals up in MD headquarters are doing you a solid!

Has anyone already got information about the shipment of this run? Estimated time was 11.11.20 but my status still says "reserved for shipment" even though 2 days passed. Is this a normal procedure?
