Am I missing the 'value' of this drop? Looks like the same watch can be purchased from Creation Watches (with free 2-day shipping) for only $4.01 more. Looking at the issues with shipping on the last drop, that 2% difference in price might not be worth joining the drop. I don't know much about Creation Watches, but the reviews seem good. I don't feel 'pressured' to make a hasty decision to purchase here for not much of a discount, and a lot longer shipping. But, I guess any savings is a savings.

My comment about the price difference was from a year ago. It wasn't necessarily cheaper, but darn close to Massdrop's price at that time. Not sure what the pricing is currently on other sites, so this may be a deal... this time...

I've had this very watch on my 'to buy' list for a couple of years now but at this price, which is pretty much the going price online, I don't feel compelled to join the drop. Maybe I'm a cheapskate but I need to see a 10-20% discount to compel me to buy.

Received my watch today. It did NOT feature the updated Prospex dial with the X logo as the description said. It still had the old dial. I got the red hand SSC015 model. Not a problem personally. I was kind of looking forward to the X logo, but I have an SSC017 that also has the old non-Prospex dial. Just thought I'd throw that out there so other people aren't surprised.

Hi @EthanPoirier, there was a hiccup with the logistics. A small handful of units from the drop haven't shipped and you are one of them. We're working with our fulfillment center to get these units shipped out ASAP. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order has been shipped.

@Aranshada We just learned from our vendor that a small amount of the old dials were mixed in with the shipment. Besides the Prospex logo, the different versions of watches are identical. If your watch arrived with the non-Prospex dial, please go to your Transactions and reach out to Support. We've discussed how we can resolve the issue so please let us know if this happened to you!

Hey all, I just have a few queries and it'd be great if someone could help me with them.
What does 2 year Massdrop warranty mean? Should my watch malfunction within these 2 years where can I go to fix it and be covered by warranty?
Should my watch come with cosmetic/mechanical defects from Massdrop is there any way I can get it replaced?

I have the 017 and its a good watch. Its nice not having to adjust the time every week as I would have to do with my mechanical. Ive had it for over 2yrs and its still right on time. Only complaint is the glow in the dark marker on the outer ring is not centered in its pocket but off slightly. And it doesnt have solid end links but that hasn't been an issue so far.

frk3I own 40-50 watches. Some are worth 30x this seiko . I wear the Black/ Green model 9 out 10 days and not a week goes by without a complimt.Make the plung, you won’t regret it.
