A truly versatile watch, the Seiko Sports SNE Solar can match a dress shirt or a t-shirt. Powered by the sun thanks to Seiko’s V158 solar movement, the watch charges on the go Read More
Got mine today. So far, the watch looks to be in good nick. Let's see how it goes in the next few months. Hopefully this one does not die within 3 months, unlike another brand that went kaput after less than 3 months.
Weird thing about the Massdrop versions for this drop, I can't find any reviews or other listings for them.
Even the Seiko site doesn't list these models, they don't come up on a search there.
Closest match is a somewhat different styled version in their "Core" series, such as the SNE329:

I actually prefer the Massdrop versions with the completely numbered dial though.
Apparently the mineral crystal tends to scratch easily, I know, for a hundred bucks that's what you get.
Other thing is the lack of lume on the numbers or markers, other than the hands.
Decisions...............
This would be the perfect watch--if it only came in gold, with a mother of pearl face, and indicators instead of numerals, and didn't have a date window, and included an alligator strap option--other than that, it's just what I'm looking for...
I like the solar feature of this one, and in general. This clan loves their mechanical movements, but mechanical accuracy on Swiss movements is tragically poor. I think it’s done to overcharge for accurate movements. Ooo I mean calibers. Anyway, my Seiko mechanicals are way more accurate than Swatch cheese.
delnerdoI get where you're coming from entirely. I've found Swiss quartz, like what I linked, often more accurate than the lower end Swiss mechanical stuff.
