A rectangular style with a double bridge and a flat top line, the Renzo features an ultralight TR90 nylon frame with hidden stainless steel hinges Read More
Serengeti's polarised photochromatic lens technology seems to be a step above in the drivers lens. I have since bought the 555nm lens (not on MassDrop) and I am less impressed but it is still quite passable. The only things that are near it for me are Maui Jim neutral grey and Costa Del Mar 580G lenses, and even then for driving in rainy or high glare cloudy weather the Serengeti driving lens beats them slightly.
If this ever comes up again at the same price here or elsewhere I suggest everyone buys it even if they don't like the frame too much because the optics are unbelievable to drive in. When driving behind a vehicle in the rain it cuts down the negative effects from the water being thrown up and gives roughly 30-50m more vision which is indispensable in inclement weather.
The hinges are beefy and the material is matte and lightly textured and doesn't irritate my skin. I'm sure other reviews might talk about this more. Comes in a solid case with a nice lens cloth.
The spectral control and sunlight control of these sunglasses is fantastic, and better than any polarised sunglasses I've owned in the past 10 years. The build quality is also very good, comes with a great case and is an excellent purchase.
Ordered the Sedona lens as I have had a couple pairs of serengeti glasses and the Sedona is just so pleasing on the eye. The drivers are great as well but these are more pleasing. Frame is a little large but I have a small head but they don't look bad. Glad I found this and bought them
