I owned the SE530 since '08/'09, and due to a cable issues haven't used them in a few years. I just got them re-cabled and finally got an DAC/AMP. Now the I have a DAC/AMP with bass boost I can say how great these really sound. The 3dB bass boost from my JDS Labs C5D really brings these things to life.
I've really learned to appreciate the SE530/535 again. I'm some ways I enjoy them more than my SE846. I think the vocals sound a bit sweeter in the SE535 and with the bass improvements from the AMP they compete well with it's bigger brother to my ears.
