For anyone looking to pare down their pack by transitioning to a non-freestanding tent, the Sierra Designs Tensegrity—a portmanteau of “tension” and “integrity”—has a lot to offer. It’s the first and only tent on the market that gets wider toward its peak, creating more living space at a lighter weight. Both the FL design (with the white fly) and the Elite design (with the yellow fly) are available in one- and two-person versions, with vestibule space and doors proportionate to their capacity and no-see-um mesh netting for increased airflow.
Note: This drop’s base price is for the Sierra Designs Tensegrity 1 FL. At checkout, you’ll have the option to upgrade to the Tensegrity 2 FL (+ $50), the Tensegrity 1 Elite (+ $55), or the Tensegrity 2 Elite (+ $120). Please note that the Elite models cannot be shipped to CA, LA, MA, MI, MN, NJ or NY. Orders made by members in these states will be cancelled and refunded.
The Elite tents use lighter, fully siliconized nylon fabrics to shave 3 ounces off the one-person version and 5 ounces off its two-person counterpart. Please note that, due to the nature of these fabrics, these tents cannot be factory seam-sealed. To learn more, check out the pitching instructions for the FL and Elite models.
