The Dragon 2+ earbuds come from Simphonio, formerly Sunrise Audio: respected on Head-Fi for making high-value IEMs like the AS-Miss and the AS-Feeling. Reentering the market, the brand brings with it a new name and a high-quality earbud Read More
Is this some sort of prank?! Why would people pay that price for earphones with the most cheap uncomfortable shape that makes your ears hurt after less than a minute?
the foams and the particular earbud housing determine the fit. earbuds are mostly designed to be worn with some sort of foam covering, not naked. this earbud looks like a smaller bud, known as the PK shell. The Monks use a shell called MX500, and there is also afew in the middle.
Great info. I don't know why so many people object to equalization. Everyone's hearing ability is different and some like a lot of bass and others not so much.
Please people. I just bought a pair of Campfire Comets for $200. Beautifully made, high quality single BA driver iem. Don’t encourage this rip-offery by buying this product made with a few dollars worth of Ali-express junk parts. They may “sound” amazing, but by buying something like this, we as an audio community condone and encourage overly high pricing for sub-standard quality products. I won’t do it.
I feel the same way about Campfreds as I do about these. Unless, you’re referring to my post about Campfire Audio, which are a different company altogether? And in that case, please think before posting.
lmao anyone buying this for more than 50 cents are crazy
there is no way these can sound good
there is a reason why the current IEM moved away from these old earphones.
Not only does it fall off your ears easily, it bleeds sounds because it doesn't make proper seal.
StratoYou seem to find a level of bliss in your woeful ignorance.
"there is a reason why the current IEM moved away from these old earphones." yes...and no. The form factor is not for everyone and high-end audio in this form factor is a relatively new phenomenon.
These sound very good. If they fit your ear nicely, they sound superb. $199 worth of superb is difficult to say, though...
StratoI thought the same thing until I tried the $5 Monk Plus. Great stage presence, airy, just how I like it. I have three because I'm afraid I'll lose one. It's not perfect but loads of fun and neutral. Please get one and let me know if I've converted you!
1) Massdrop ships to very small economically unimportant countries, but excludes Russian Federation from shipping. It is by the way the biggest country in the world currently and, probably, ever. That is a real shame and has no justifications. Massdrop and your partners - you are losing huge and important market there, as many Russians would be happy to buy many stuff from here, including Simphonio Dragon 2+ .
2) Oleg Golov said the painting and feel of Dragon 2+ in reality is very good and expensive. Pictures do not really captures anything and even corrupt its presentation.
screw off with your 'nazi vibes' BS, you dolt. shipping to and from russia sucks and any business who has had to endure that headache would tell you so.

SainSoloAnyone who has sold on eBay can tell you that.
Which of these have you tried and which do you prefer? My Yuin PK3s are great, but I know they only last a few years before giving up the ghost. I'm on year 3.
808dreaminI would start with the DIY MX500. It‘s Full sounding and does everything pretty well. Then if you want a sound signature like a Pk, I’d go for that next. There are a ton of buds, and I have a lot. My main gripe with the Symphonio is the shells and stiff wire. I will no longer ever buy a bud with a stiff (at all) wire. I find that it takes away from the comfort of the form factor too much. But that’s just me. Some people don’t seem to mind, but for me, a bud that that gets jostled out of my ear because the wire is stiff (no matter the high quality) is pretty much useless.
