Ok guys, I know this has been mainly a page for us to lambast mass drop but I have a couple questions. If anyone has experience with the UE Boom or Beats Pill line of speakers, how do these compare? And second, how portable are these? Thanks for all replies, even though it's not going as expected, I'm really excited to join this community

MLCL94Beats pill and UE Boom don't have great sound quality. They are portable fashion accessories. These are desk top speakers which need to be plugged in order to work. I guess they can be portable giving their size but carrying around two speakers and a bunch of cords probably isn't the best solution though they'll probably sound better than a portable fashion ghetto blaster. Those portable speakers also won't be as loud given their small drivers and dependency on battery power. If you want something that sounds good and is portable, you probably want to build something like this

HuestonThe reason why I compared them to those speakers was due to the Bluetooth comparison but thank you for your response

HuestonI don't know what you are talking about with the UE Boom. I know they aren't studio quality but they sound damn good.

HuestonHave you personally heard the Boom or Boombox from UE? Don't make such statement if you have heard of them or at least clarify so you don't mislead people. I have the boombox and I think its better than the Listen.

MLCL94i own both the UE boom and these speakers. the Listens have fuller sound range and much better bass than the UE boom (even if you double them up). i realize how bad my UE boom sounds after listening to the Listen. However, the UE Boom is meant to be very portable, and these things are like carrying around boulders.

xerowunI'd imagine a lot of the difference is because the Boom is really intended to be used outdoors, hence its 300 degree wrap around drivers.
