The picture of the machine does not jive with the written description. I see no slider speed control, nor a "Needle up/down" button. Can anyone who bought this machine confirm, yes or no???? It's a cheap machine, as sewing machines go, so I doubt that it has these things.....could be wrong, of course.
Wintersewist
Hi @Wintersewist, Thank you for the callout. You are correct that those two features are not on this machine. The copy has been removed on those two notes.
SandyLucas
You're welcome. I also don't see a locking stitch button or a stop/start button. Who the heck writes these advertisements????????? Someone who knows nothing about sewing machines apparently.
Will this handle denim? I would like to hem my own pants, make bags, and alter clothes to fit me better.
RoDilla
Hi @RoDilla, In my experience, most machines can home sewing machines can handle sewing denim if you have a very sharp needle and you're doing it occasionally. I would not use this for regular use of hemming my jeans though.
Notice it doesn't mention a warranty. If defective, who covers this machine? I am seriously considering joining drop as gift for my wife, but concerned about warranty.
Audog
From what I understand it comes with the manufacturers warranty. This was on this site previously and that's what they were saying.
Audog
Hi Audog, Yes, it comes with the manufacturers warranty as Sewing Sew Crazy states below.
It isn't a Featherweight, but looks pretty good
Can this sew thicker materials like vinyl, leather?
Is this the same machine Joann's Fabric sells except yours is $240 cheaper?
SewingSewCrazy
Yes it is, I saw it today!!
