Why would I buy this if I already have a 4 piece Space Case? This seems really expensive for a two piece grinder.

autoteleologyThanks for inquiring autoteleology. Think of it as Yankees fans vs Red Sox fans. Some just prefer a two piece and they'd rather fight than switch because: They many not want or need a keif catcher. They may prefer the size and convenience of a 2 piece grinder. The 2.4" SLX 206 fits easily in your pocket. The SLX 206 doesn't need to be cleaned and won't stick. And any dust on the teeth is easily removed with a soft brush. With a two piece it's easy to control the texture of your grind. Everything stays within the teeth chamber until you finish grinding and empty it. (To get the same degree of control, a 4 piece grinders can be used upside down to keep the grind from falling through the holes.) The SLX 206 is likely the last 2 piece grinder you'll ever buy. Any part that fails will be replaced if you send a picture describing the damage to us. The price reflects the cost to manufacture a grinder with both a functional coating (ceramic on the teeth) and a decorative finish (anodizing), a very complex process. So, if you're happy with your existing 4 piece, no need to switch. If you're not, the SLX 303 4 piece with the same self cleaning benefits as our 206 will soon be coming back to Mass Drop for the many members who have requested it! Best regards, Rick SLX Team
