So lemme get this straight... this is a cutting board with a crack for food juices and bits, and the crack leads to a PIANO HINGE? It's like they *want* little bits of meat and veg to find their way into the joints and foul up the whole thing. It might be marketed as a cutting board, but under no circumstances would I actually use it as a cutting board.

Bought this one at REI for my mom for mother's day this last May.
Works really well, knife came super sharp and holds up well.
The hinge doesn't lock open, but when out camping or what not, this does the job.

I have both the small and large sets and really like them a lot. My only gripe is with the board itself: it does not lock or stick open. So if you lift the cutting board to dump your goods into a pot for example, you need to lift this board carefully with both hands. Take a look at the provided pic and see how the person is holding the board. That's what it would look like.
