Can you put this directly on a stove to boil the water or will it warp?

MaggiI have read, don't have one, from other people that have this that you can heat it directly, which makes sense at it all titanium. Of course you want to use only the container with the plunger out. :^)

Thanks. I was hoping it might have a slot so you could drink from it too. The Bodum polycarbonate double skin travel plunger is a mug too so was hoping this was similar. Cheers

Can you drink directly out of the press so that you avoid the need to carry an additional mug?

Can the Press be stacked inside the cup (bigger diameter) for transport?

H_COWI don't know. I have it and a 450 and it won't. I think the 600 will fit the bottom, but as suggested, the handles might get in the way. It will definitely go up past the handles. It is might at least partially nest.

I'm assuming this would work for loose leaf yerba mate tea also? This uses just like a titanium mesh to filter right? No paper filters? Does the mesh clean well and hold up to use?

Logan96Yes it will work for just about anything you want to brew. It cleans well and is easily taken apart for deep cleaning of the filter/press. It has a fine wire mesh filter and a fine fabric filter. I have used mine almost daily at home and several times camping. I am going on 7 yrs of use and it’s time to replace the mesh filters. Overall this thing is pretty indestructible.

Great question! I’m curious as well. I’d guess that it would as it’s a single wall cup and the dimensions would lead me to believe that it would fit.

SoarmanIt could be done I guess, but kind of a pain. If you take off the lid, the attached press would come off too, unless you unscrew it maybe. The lid could be pulled up I guess but not a big gap. Could drink straight from the spout I suppose.

It’s my go-to coffee press for backpacking. Couldn’t really be any better. I store the ziploc of ground coffee inside the press when backpacking.

I’ve been using this press for about 3 years now. I take it with me on every backpacking trip and also use it at home everyday. The lid and vessel are titanium, other components are stainless steel. If you can’t stomach instant coffee, I highly recommend this press for high quality coffee in the backcountry.
