Snow Peak calls its titanium straw the world’s strongest and most durable, saying it even has the ability to pierce coconuts. At half an ounce, it’s light enough to pack and take with you on camping trips, to a tropical island, and anywhere else you want to sip water, iced tea, cocktails, and more Read More
He He This one made me giggle .......... and people are buying them??????.
I suppose with slight modification you could turn it into a miniature blow pipe.
Just remember too blow not suck.
Not only are these things absurd they are also dangerous. Don't buy metal straws! You risk serious injury if you fall while using these, same as with the stainless steel versions of these that you can find all over the place.
SantiagoDracoPretty sure the same argument could be made for metal utensils.... yet most everyone uses metal cutlery at home... It would be better to say, don't stick metal in your mouth if you're not sitting at a table :-)
CardamomteaPretty sure most people don't walk around with a fork in their mouth either. Plenty walk around with drinks in their hands and straws in their mouths.
Buying these is pretty stupid imo.
every single straw you've ever used has been A) Free and B) lighter than these straws. You ultralight nerds are getting ridiculous. I thought I had seen everything when they tried to sell us $120 titanium water bottles.
DumpTruckI don't have any need for an ultralight straw, but I am really interested in a reusable straw (grew up using disposable plastic ones..) Do you know of any, other than these titanium ones, that are reusable and not made of plastic? Thanks!
Can anyone explain to me why you would need a titanium straw (or any straw short of a ultra-filtration water purifying straw) in your ultralight gear rack, or any backpacking set-up for that matter???
(imagine me scratching my head)
ibex-docBecause normal straws just aren't cool. The 2nd thing you do with them is to chew them up. I use this one in the office to drink coffee to try and avoid staining my teeth. It's just cool man : ).
