Europe (including the UK, at least until Brexit is completed), uses a comma in places where the US uses a decimal point. Europeans will read this metric (no pun intended) as 5.0 mm of poly coating.

Either way, it's still not the right way to read it. Waterproofness ratings are just written very oddly:
