SOG Kiku Green Micarta Fixed Blade
Thick Double-Bevel Blade & Linen Micarta Handle
A collaboration between SOG and legendary Japanese knifemaker Kiku Matsuda, the Kiku is equal parts blade and handle with a total length of nearly 10 inches. The AUS-8 stainless steel blade is a sight to behold: It features a long edge with a heavy recurve for slicing (especially rope, cord, and twine), and a tip with extra material behind it for piercing. The transition from the hollow-ground main bevel to the flat-ground tip gives the blade a stealthy, almost harpoon-like appearance. Plus, the thick tang measures about a fifth of an inch thick for strength during heavy duty work. Composed of green linen micarta, the handle offers a sure grip and is easy to clean when things get messy. Store the knife in the included kydex sheath when you’re on the go.
