I've never been able to understand why these are so popular. But that may simply be due to the fact that I'm not a Basshead. I want complete accuracy and balance in my headphones. But that's just my two cents. If you want headphones with heavy bass, don't let me stop you. Unless you plan to buy beats. If you're getting beats, I will do everything in my power to stop you.

H-LitchBeats have good bass, or in my opinion too much, and not enough clarity. These Sol republics are just right and have great sound, the bass works when you want it and it doesn't kill your ears like Beats. Oh and beats sound like loud speakers on full blast.

GabrielxBeats definitely do not have good bass. They have heavy bass, but it's done through circuits to amplify the low ends, which makes them take a huge hit on clarity and the bass sounds largely muffled compared to anything with actually good bass.
