One day my SOTO micro Regulator that I bought used became defective. I emailed the company and they sent a new one to my door in two days. No questions asked and didn't even want the old one back. The new one has been dependable and reliable for years. It is light weight, good on fuel, it never fails to light and it works well in the cold. I have the optional windscreen for it but rarely need to use it.
This is a well made solid stove for backpacking and outdoor adventures.
AtmakoIt can simmer effectively as low as 180° until you run out of fuel, no problem keep it low.
I would recommend the optional windscreen for simmering.
What are you looking to do with it?

AtmakoI have this stove and it simmers very low. I was able to bake biscuits in an aluminum baking dish held in a titanium pot while backpacking. There was just a bit of browning on the bottom, nothing burnt and they baked perfectly. If there is a bit of wind it can blow out when on really low so check it periodically and try to shield it from the wind. Also, use the separate windscreen when simmering.
SnaggletoothKnor and Lipton Sides ect.....just looking to leave the jet boil at home and save a few ounces ...I have a 700 ml. titanium pot to pair with it...thanks for your help ..
SnaggletoothAgreee. I've had mine for over 7 years now. The piezo went out last year on it and Soto sent me a new piezo in two days as well. Great CS!!!
