Well that's not a competitive price at all. This is the normal street price on many distributors websites.

Yea we know. That's what about half of the 44 comments on here are about. (Notice Jonas, and reference previous posts of mine, I understand the MAP pricing... and also note I purchased a Sage1 from Massdrop several years ago before Spyderco changed to the MAP pricing)
This is why I suggested something different like an exclusive. Not something strange like the spyderweb delica that not enough people were interested in. At $175 for a Massdrop exclusive... people will still say "But the regular version is only $120 on amazon!" but at least you can say "Yea but they don't have this color or this blade steel". Hopefully my comments don't just seem like bitter ranting and can actually help broaden your scope. I agree with you Spyderco is a top seller, I own 6 Spyderco knives.... I am not a stranger to the company.

Subiesaurus_R3XIts a good idea. I would jump on an exclusive with a higher end blade steel and new color (especially PM2 or a Spyderco that doesn't have as many sprint runs etc) vs this which I will probably not be going in on.
