PapaEmeritusYes we'd really love to be able to do that, except 1) Spyderco has MAP and 2) everyone breaks MAP on this item so we can't really give a great discount and 3) mailing a brick is not cheap or free, as some retailers might have you believe. Offering savings on a pair like this is the only way it works, but we understand if that's not appealing to everyone.
JonasHeinemanI detect a hint of sass in that reply. I know you guys are just doing your best. And we probably sound like ungrateful brats when we complain about these things. So I do apologize. It is impossible to please everyone, I know. I was just voicing my opinion. Thank you for explaining to us why getting discounts on products like the sharpmaker by themselves can't work.
PapaEmeritusNo sass intended; even for those of us who operate in it daily, this industry can be difficult to really understand. Sometimes we think our creative ideas for working around them will be smash hits and they end up duds, other times people convince us to try weird stuff and it's a hit. Thanks for the reply, we'll keep trying to make the Sharpmaker available at a great value.
JonasHeinemanNot just the Sharpmaker, but other products too. I'm assuming that your Blue Boxes are one of the creative ideas too. And those are honestly pretty awesome.
PapaEmeritusPapa, unless you live in Europe when you get hit for the full MRSP on any 'free' upgrade. Strange thing is when my S110V PM2 arrived it showed the price I'd maid for it, not the supposed MRSP. Ho hum, just another massflop screw-up, I suppose.
