An update for the group, the first batch of the order has been shipped. The second batch should be shipping out between tomorrow and Friday. We will make sure to update the group as soon as this happens.

An update for the group, the order has been delayed in transit. The new estimated date of arrival is 7/28. As soon as it arrives our warehouse we will make it our top priority to ship out the units as soon as possible. We will make sure to keep the group updated on the progress of the order.

Great news group! The vendor has let us know that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 7/22. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.

Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.

Quick update for the group. We are in contact with the vendor and awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these in our warehouse.

We will update the group as soon as these are on the way. Currently we expect that these will be in our warehouse inline with the expected ship date listed in the drop description page.

There aren't many reviews of this pen online; what I did find wasn't too encouraging.

I was on the fence teetering toward getting this. I really love the way the gold and red one looks. and seems like it might write nice (but one person who got it through mass drop had to mod his nib). But this is going to be a hassle of a pen to own and use. I think I am going to pass on this one...

I have 2 ones. The Yellow and the white.
They are writing perfect.
but even they have a little flaw: The feather :(
At the white one it was not well 'added' and the one of the yellow had a much too small pin and was only glued and is gone now :((

But I am very satisfied overall even if I am very sad about the feathers,
but they do they job here good ;o)

Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Stipula Speed Fountain Pen and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.

As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 6/10.

Rest assured that we we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 6/4.
I have had the same issue with this pen regarding drying out and rust along the collar ring. I don't use it anymore because of these reasons. I got the yellow one through a drop a couple of years ago.
I would skip this one if I were you. I had only problems with it. Had to tweak nib and feed. Even two pieces of plastic split up so I had to fix that as well. Has a tendency to dry and since recently parts started rusting. Nib writes nicely if you are lucky to get one that works out of the box mine was dry and had problems starting. This pen is not worth 20$ let alone 99$ which is advertised. My honest advice is to get Pilots or something non-Italian.

Hey MeanEYE -- Those sound like more serious issues than you posted about before.

I'd really like to see that pen, and I'd be happy to send you a new one from this drop if that's okay.

Stipula does provide a warranty, and requests that you register any pen on the card included inside the box, or here: http://yafa.com/warranty_new.html

However, I'd like to replace this directly. Would it be okay if we make arrangements with Customer Support to have your pen sent here and ship you one when this drop ends?

Thanks JonasHeineman. You guys as always have awesome customer support. I doubt warranty would cover my pen as I had to modify it myself.

Issues are not all that much more serious, only rust appeared

since I last complained about it. Last time I didn't go into details I didn't consider important, like gluing two parts together, that was easily fixable and an easy oversight although QA should have caught that one. Due to my nib modifications gold plating had to be removed etc. So pen is modified and I doubt warranty would cover it.

There are couple of reasons I don't want my pen replaced by MD. First of it being, I love Massdrop community which helped me purchase some awesome things. Replacing my pen at your own expense wouldn't solve anything as pen is built in that way and rust will appear again in short time and would damage MD which is something I wouldn't like to happen. Another reason is sending back my pen would cost additional money which I am not willing to invest for this pen. Even receiving a replacement free of charge would cost me money as my country likes taxing everything.

I don't have only criticism for this pen. Once all the issues are solved, this pen writes really smooth. Smoother than Pilot Metropolitan pens.

Edit: Sorry for not providing additional photos. Taking shots of inner barrel is really hard and my pen is inked, so I'd have to drain it first. I would be more than happy to provide additional photos if you wish as soon as daylight comes.
Well, as the time moves on my initial happiness is quickly running out. Only problems with this pen. Ink keeps drying, slow start, inconsistent flow. Gah. Along this one I got Pilot Metropolitan which were half the price for 2 pens and they are miles better than this one.

Just got mine today. Quite happy with it. Pen might a little bit on the dry side, but nothing to complain about.
