Just wondering why all these pants drops only go up to 38" waist. Is this a site-wide Massdrop standard?

noisyturtleSelvedge denim fabric is made at only 30" wide or some such.. It might not be possible to make the pants any wider around the waist or in the legs to pull it off and have them look the same as the smaller sizes. Or boutique, low numbers stuff is typically just made to fit whatever small demographic of people will pony up the $$ for the items. It's weird to see baggy selvedge denim of any kind because the USA trends seem to be for skin tight, low rise jeans if they bother to make them out of raw selvedge denim. I can' pay 300 dollars for pants though just on a personal rule.. I've paid less for running cars.

I just wanted to stop by and say that I actually think these look awesome. I love the look of them. but sadly that are like 7-10x out of my price range.
also, I was disappointed a company called sugar cane didn't make the jeans out a cane fiber.

ChaetosSome of their jeans, like the Okinawa, are made from 50% sugarcane!

Can we have a size guide for these? Also, are they sanforized or not? This would change the nature of the fit dramatically.

These are 15-16,000 Yen in Japan. Aka not anywhere close to $449 or $336.
Not really interested in the fit nonetheless but am a denimhead.

Here are these exact jeans available for $150.00: http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/hinoya/item/sc40065/
There's simply no way the import tax and shipping would be equal to nearly 100% the price of the jean. I've bought similar items before and paid roughly $30.00 in shipping. That still puts the price point way, way, way below the Massdrop pricepoint.
AveryI was going to say this same thing. No way this pair of raws is worth anywhere near $300.
