Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. I wish some over manufacturer made a compact powerful enough DAC/amp/receiver combo with sub out
This may not be the absolute top of the line, be all and end all, in the audiophile department but it is an incredibly competent dac/amp. I have no idea what darwin is on about with his Onkyo > Teac comments. Just Google "Wolfson WM8718 vs BurrBrown PCM 1795" and you will find 100 people saying the Wolfson is better and another 100 people saying the BurrBrown is better.
Moreover, this drop comes WAY TOO LATE. The popular AI-101DA was released in mid-2015 and started getting drops from early 2016. On the contrary AI-301DA was released in mid-2014 and gets its first drop now in August 2016. I would say people who want AI-301DA already bought one or a AI-101DA. Although I personally love my AI-301DA for my living room audio system, it is not surprising to see the drop comes out empty. It is just too late.
