One of the two earpieces stopped working 2-3 weeks after I received them (a week late because I was on vacation). E-mailed TFZ support, got zero response. So e-mailed Massdrop support, was told they do nothing after 30 days, and they suggested I contact TFZ. My first and last purchase on MassDrop -- which I'm inclined to tell people is a scam to pass off defective merchandise.

DarkZenithI got one from Aliexpress, new out of the box I plugged an upgrade cable and I can see what you mean crumbling, if you move the cable the plug moves a little, just tiny bit. So if you store it without take off the cable and put in your pocket, it can put some force and tension on the joint and cause it to loosen up more until it losses connection.
