Was a gift for my lady but we've both used it for a couple of years now. Best pad we've ever owned. Super light, compact, warm, quiet. Pretty much the whole package.
This is extremely light, packs extremely small and is very warm & comfortable for it's thickness.
I bought a ladies one as it is better suited to my height & for me offers advantages over the larger men's ones.
Seems to be quite durable and I fill it using a plastic bag which is way easier and faster than a pump or breath.
So for back packing this is just great. If you want more thickness for comfort, look at the SeaToSummit.
Buying from MassDrop was by far the cheapest option available in Australia at the time.
There is nothing to not like about the product except the AU prices.
someone else wrote the below and I have to QFT.
"Super light and compact when stowed. It's also surprisingly comfortable for side sleeping given the low bulk. I wish it was a little wider, but this is one of the trade-offs for low weight and I knew it would be like this when I ordered."
I'll add that it's also been very durable. I've taken this on over 30 nights of camping, some backpacking, some car camping. It's held up to a lot of abuse, even after a whole week at a scout camp.
Not impressed. I've slept, or attempted to sleep 4 times on this mattress and really get tired of having to re inflate it every three hours. I don't cowboy camp. I have a free standing tent with a bathtub bottom AND use a ground sheet to boot. So either Therm-a-rest sent me a faulty product or it isn't what its advertised to be. I've send an email via their website about the issue a week ago and have received ZERO communication from the company. Its also a bit narrow at 20" in width - the length is fine. I find myself slipping off of it frequently. I'm a side sleeper and this is the closest I've come to being happy with a pad, but the shoddy quality and lack of customer service from therarest makes me rate this low.
Get the Klymit Static V, they said. If you are a side sleeper, this is the best sleeping pad for you, they said. Stay away from the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir, they said.WRONG. Had the best sleep of my camping life this weekend on my Massdrop-provided ThermaRest Women's NeoAir XLite (whatever else the buzz word are for it from THIS VERY DROP). I'm now considering rehoming my Static V collection (I have the insulated and the Massdrop UL), but want to see how the NeoAir holds up to shoulder season temperatures, first.
Super light and compact when stowed. It's also surprisingly comfortable for side sleeping given the low bulk. I wish it was a little wider, but this is one of the trade-offs for low weight and I knew it would be like this when I ordered.
Brought this up Mt. Rainier in Washington, car camping, and backpacking. Super light. Kept me warm from the ground. Was able to sleep on my side as well as my back. At one point I probably had my trad rack in my pack with the pad and I have not gotten any punctures in it.
Only 'issue' was a total non-issue. Inflating a large air mattress at altitude is tiresome, but I knew that going into it.
