Top stitch around the toe box kills it.
Not a deal. The exact same boots can be ordered straight from the manufacturer (via nearby retailers like Milworks) for $195-200, free shipping.
And they allow exchanges if you get the wrong size, which Massdrop doesn't.
How do these compare with Oak Street Bootmakers brand? Thank you.
Do these have a leather insole, or poly insole?
Bought these shoes a bit ago and love em. Cat ate my laces tho, any idea what brand they are?
i just want to know what pants are those...
TomasV blouie -- SIZING QUESTION: Red Wing Iron Horse 8111 sized 9 & E2 fit me nicely. Wolverine Classic 1000 Mile sized 10 & D are too long and too tight under the laces. I have high arches and typically need the extra width (or a longer shoe for the width, but not ideal!). Brannock device puts me between 9.5 & 10 and approximately E wide.
WHAT SIZE is best in the Thorogood boots???
Anent
Good question. The information you gave would put you around the US 9.5 here in the Mondovis. But here's the thing, your width is E, these are a standard D. I'm hoping that the bit of a extra room that you'll get from the 9.5 being somewhere your size 9 Iron Horses and your Wolverines in size 10 will work for you. I'm personally between 9.5 and 10 in the Brannock with a width that's been D and E, and the 9.5's here fit me perfectly with room to spare to wear with thick socks.
Hope this helps and other people can chime in! Thanks for your interest on this drop~
If these aren't proof that Thorogood makes the Woolrich Yankee, I don't know what is.

I don't believe it's a secret ;)

I just received my Woolrich Yankees today. $89 CAD! Amazon 'used' i.e. returned item that was still brand new. Nice leather, true to size.
Regarding sizing, is following this chart correct http://www.theunionbootpro.com/perfectfit.cfm ? When people recommend sizing half a size down for these boots, are they recommending to size down from your measured size or from what you weared before (sneakers etc)? It would be a real pain ordering the wrong size.
Does anyone know how much these boots weigh? The comparable Wolverines are only 3 lbs so I am curious because boots look great and are much more affordable.

Although I am partial to Thorogood Boots (see my other discussion points below)t, he Original Thousand Mile Boot (with the leather sole) is a beautiful top shelf pair off footwear. However, I have read in some reviews about quality control issues (loose and untidy stitches) on some. So, the Wolverines are worth the extra money, because they are better than the Mondavis. But, you should have a return policy if you purchase them. IMHO. You will not be disappointed in either! I think the 1000 miles are dressier as well. See The Boot Guy Site for a review on them.

I have 1000 Miles and These Thorogoods. The Mondovi Is lighter the Beloit is heavier.
I really like how looks this boots. I'm a size 7D in Allen Edmonds 511 last (Long Branch, Dalton, etc). If i buy this boots in 7D (does not offer in smaller number)) will be uncomfortably roomy?
Thanks in advance
Sorry my bad english, i'm not a native speaker
I wear 7.5 dress shoes and 8.5 for sneakers so I go for size 8?

I would take an average of what you usually size for your regular shoes. Then go 1/2 size smaller. If you want to be sure, then go to a shoe store that sells work boots and have them measure you using that step sizer. What ever you are told, go 1/2 size down from your measurement to be safe.
ludachris
No. I would add the two sizes together and go with a size 16. Your welcome.
I’m usually a size 10.5-11 in running shoes. What size do you recommend for me?
JayS82
Hard to say really -- but since these run a bit on the large side of things i'd suggest a 10.5 for you.
Again, it depends on how you like to wear your boots and what running shoes you're referencing here. But on average the info you give leads me to believe a 10.5 would be just fine. :)
JayS82
I'm a 10.5 in Adidas sneakers, and size 10 in Thorogoods fits me well. If I were you, I'd gauge which size you're closer to (10.5 or 11) and size down 1/2 accordingly.
