It says 13" laptop, but what are the actual dimensions for the laptop area?
Just using a laptop screen size is not enough... Laptop sizes vary from model to model and manufacturer even with the same display size.
Thanks!
PD.
I see some websites report this backpack to have "product size" of 8 x 17 x 11.5 in and 6 x 16 x 10 in at the same time. This leads me to think that 6x16x10 is the internal size, and it will fit some 15" laptops (eg 0.7x14.6x9.9") as well, but I'd guess there are internal divisions/material thickness that prevent it to be the whole 16x10...
More details will be appreciated.
Is the back leather as well?
Seems to be only a cloth layer, by looking at the inside and outside pictures.
Hopefully it has a leather layer covered by the cloth, but doesn't looks like it...
I don't have this bag, but I do have the Timberland Walnut Hill leather messenger bag (https://www.timberland.com/shop/walnut-hill-water-resistant-leather-messenger-bag-brown-a1l9g210) and I haven't been happy with.
If this is any thing like mine, expect a good looking exterior, but cheap interior that smells like an egg carton... And don't forget the cheap crappy velcro used on the laptop and phone pouches.
ktw1016As far as water resistance, since it's leather the most you'd want it to get wet (in order to keep the bag looking and feeling the same) is just a bit, like getting caught in the rain for 20-30 minutes on the way to work -- and then you'd want to wipe it dry. Leather is one of those things that's best not getting wet. Alternatively, you can always proof it with any of the multiple leather proofing products out there.
All leather timberland products I've purchased in the past (belts, wallets, other misc. objects) have been genuine full grain leather. I don't have this specific product, but i wouldn't doubt it's real.
