Product Description
The Tin Audio T2 Pro is a follow-up to the T2: one of the most popular sub-$50 IEMs on Massdrop. The original model delivered a next-to-unbeatable value for the price, with a balanced sound, wide soundstage, and accurate tuning inside a well-built metal housing Read More

Posted my initial impressions and measurements/review of the Tin Audio T2 Pro vs the T2 here: http://www.antdroid.net/2018/09/tin-audio-t2-pro-exclusive-first-look.html
In short, the new version cleans up the upper end and it's noticeably better. There is more air and openness to music with the Pros. Cymbals crash naturally, and do not feel grainy and congested as before. The low end matches my previous T2 bass performance, but again, vocals and upper end instruments get the needed boost to round out the IEM that make the T2 Pro a legitimate IEM.

I will post a full review this week, but wanted to drop my impressions/measurements in while the drop is active.

If it is a neutral change, why would the price go up?

in the interest of fairness, i can now report massdrop and i have resolved our issue.
Just posted my review to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCB3Wg05hAU I'm a big fan of the original T2s -- gone through a bunch of IEMs lately, and keep coming back to the T2. Honestly, didn't like the Pro at first...but then I tried them with Comply foam tips and I'm in love 😍 Warning, IMO these headphones require foam tips (and they come with some). I think they're too sibilant with the supplied silicone tips
At some point they rebranded the boxes from "Tin Audio" to "Tin Hifi." Both my T2 and T2 Pro boxes say "Tin Hifi." Interestingly, no one calls them that, even this Massdrop posting.

We bought the original T2 and it was so good we bought this one as well.
Pros
  • Smooth, well resolved, neutral sound signature
  • Amazing price
  • Nice build quality and materials
  • No sibilance
Cons
  • Not a very ergonomic design
  • Very light bass (this is really just a matter of preference here)

PyrogenetixSince you mentioned "very light bass"... how would it compare to the MEE P1 in that department & an overall comparison between those 2 (if you had experience the P1 before) - or anyone else reading this for that matter?
Thanks (=

They really need to bring back this drop. There’s way more of a demand now for the Pros than the original.

IlikedifferentthingsDekoni ones? Those are pretty nice - I have the Elite Hybrids for my HE560 and I love it. That said, the T2 Pro is a better $50 spent. Umm really, get both. :)
antdroidLol, got both. Have the zmf ori suedes and they are giant compared to the old earpads. My hand was sorta forced because the old earpads basically shredded off from the glue. They are so much more comfy than the original and boost the highs and sound stage is larger.

I feel that swapping the faux carbon fiber on the connector for some knurled metal akin to that of the IEMs themselves would be aesthetically pleasing. ;)
