I find turning it at a 45degree angle works also you can tighten most of the pieces so that you can pretty much just use one motion to get the bucket in and out. [img:1437359809454.rlc.jpg] This is my go to, i got the sabertooth banger and several other nails, this it the only one that will do the really big dabs me and my buddies take.

I'm very disappointed with the quality of this item. It is not safe to use and I fully regret this drop. The threading of the post connected directly to the bucket is loose and therefore the nail is never tightly affixed and uneven to the effect that the nail rarely if ever makes it into the bucket on the first try. IF YOURS IS LIKE THIS DO NOT USE IT YOU MAY SERIOUSLY INJURE YOURSELF. If Massdrop doesn't take returns I doubt they answer subpoenas so do yourself a favor and write this $40 off as a loss...

Very disappointed that the bucket can't remain vertically in the air without some careful balancing. Don't really have a solution there.
But in my experience if the handle is burning hot, you are probably heating the bucket too long (if it's glowing it's too hot) or leaving the hot bucket in the bowl for too long. I would let it swing back all the way so heat doesn't transfer to the bowl or handle. Hope that helps!

Hey JaySun,
First off that video - while useful in theory - isn't very helpful in practice as they don't actually heat the thing up. If you heat it the way he orients the bucket, you are also torching your joint/stem. Do you guys really think that's how the product should be used?
With a proper honey bucket, the arm should be able to hold the bucket straight up into the air to allow for proper heating (without the risk of falling and knocking over your rig like with this drop). Please see the following videos:
- quartz but same concept

I'm very disappointed in this drop as it will eventually cause someone to get hurt or damage their glass. I hope in the future you guys provide much better pictures and make your own videos demonstrating the product's use. Videos like the one you linked are very misleading. I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt in doing your due diligence into the products you sell, and I love what you do, but think even the most casual of users can point out the flaws in this product. What a bummer.

Just got mine in, extremely disappointed. I enjoyed their quartz one I received last week but this is TINY compared to that one & it doesn't even stay together well or fit together well.

This is my first purchase on massdrop, is this a normal turn around time? Just wondering, I know how the business model works, and that means longer shipping times. But I can't help but feeling this is a bit excessive... I ordered a lot of things around when I ordered this and they have been in for a while. And one piece was custom hand blown and I had to wait for it in the kiln and I've got that already. I hate to be that guy but I bet I'm saying what the other 48 people are thinking

YoungBullYoungBull, I have participated in 7 drops over the years. Mass Drop has come a long way since having a single shipping facility in CA. Rest assured, this drop is going well, the delays are minimal and the communication from elimelendez has been great (so far). I know that it's exciting and you have had your expectations set by the expected ship date but try to be flexible small delays are common. Remember, MassDrop saves you money on things you don't need right now. Something...something...cake and eat it to.

Great news group! The vendor has let us know that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 5/1. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 5/4 or sooner if something comes up.

We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow Monday and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these in our warehouse. We will update the group as soon as these are on the way.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 4/28 or sooner if something comes up.

Yeah, I also got an e-mail stating that the order has been placed for the fountain pen (?!) I'm not worried though, I'm sure we'll get the bucket, not the pen!

Rodd@Rodd ,
Have no worries because it is the buckets you will be getting. Disregard any e-mails that said you are going to get a fountain pen.
If you happen to be interested in any kind of writing instrument , we have a special category called "Writing" that will truly bring a smile to your face.
Thanks,
JaySun

Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Titanium Honey Buckets and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 4/28.
Rest assured that we we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 4/24.
