I want to be able to do Tunisian knitting. What do I need to purchase in order to be able to do that? Can you add that to the buy, as an option, please?
JannetteJannette,
This set looks MILES (of yarn) better than the set that I had at 9, but again, the set that I had at 9, were probably the best that were made in that time period... or at least the best set that my folks could find and afford. The brand is still available, and is not cheap by today's standards. It's more than half price of this set... which would be a lot to spend on a 9 year old for knitting, (in my opinion). I still DO read reports on my old brand, about them loosening for other users, in today's world. Apparently I wasn't the only person who had that issue.
I have not ordered these YET. I am wondering how much knitting in the round I would REALLY do these days. I used to make a LOT of afghans, back when I was a kid. That is how I would spend my summers. It's been about 40 years since I made an afghan. I do love the looks of this set, but I'm not certain how often I would use it. Still thinking. I'm hoping to find this buy again, after I think of a few more times, and then realize, after the buy is closed, that I really WOULD use them.. story of my life.. ;)

These seem tobe taking an awfullylong time to be shipped. What was the result of the scheduled call last week? Is there any maximum time frame to these drops after which we can get our moneyback tobuy elsewhere?
I have this exact set, and they are WONDERFUL. The join is so smooth and the tips never come unscrewed from the cords. I love that the set comes with 16" cords -- honestly I don't understand why more sets don't, because they're so useful!
I just received an email saying the drop didn't receive enough purchases to drop in price and I won't be charged. I don't understand this because I thought I joined the drop at the then-active price. Is there any way to be in the group for this drop? I'd really like to get these as a gift for my Mom.
JasonDoegeHi Jason,
This drop had a minimum first drop point at 10 units and there were only 7 people that joined so the drop was unsuccessful. I am working to bring more interchangeable needles to the community in the next 2-3 weeks so please be on the lookout.
If it's this particular needle set she's interested in you may be able to find them on Amazon. Hope that helps!

Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Tulip Interchangeable Knitting Needles and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 1/8.
Rest assured that we we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 12/22.
kattHi @katt,
I tried these tulip tips out on a knit picks cable. They do fit but the join is not very smooth. Both sets screw on but the way they join is different so the tapering where needles meet cord differ just enough that the yarn catches a bit. I'm working on getting a macro photo so you can really see the difference.
Edit: Here's a photo of these tips on 3 different cords. Knitter's Pride (black), Knit Picks (green), and Tulip (clear).
