The Canteen quartz watch from TW Steel is the company’s flagship model, understandably so. This bold timepiece gets its name from the canteen-style crown: to set the time and date, you’ll need to twist off the crown just like you would your water bottle Read More
Hi,
just been on Ebay, couldn't find TW Steel at anything like $80 usd, cheapest seem to be $180 usd. then the average at $240 usd. so MD is as usual selling at very reasonable discount. I have bought two previous watches from MD(joined the "Drop" only 3 months ago), Spinnaker Cahill and Sub Combat Bronze both were great deals and at least 30% cheaper than the cheapest alternative on Ebay and those price were from sellers with no traceable pedigree.(I don't use Amazon!!)
I think some watches from MD might not always be the cheapest ,but that it likely because the manufacturer or supplier will only give a deal that MD can use at the time depending on market forces; it is quite frankly rude to berate MD as we are not all privy to the business movements behind the scenes which may affect MD's pricing; and nor should we be.
We all have the choice to buy or not, also we all have personal preferences when it comes to product choice; I personally went through a phase of appreciating big watches ,and TW Steel were pretty much the price point market leader at the time.
Welldone MD for providing a great service, keep it up.

You know, for as much fun-poking and watch-shaming that we're heaping on this watch (myself included), I couldn't help noticing the fairly stellar reviews it's been given by a group of folks who evidently love theirs.
That must mean:
you can't judge a watch by it's crown
there's someone for everyone
some people buy what they like, watch-snobs be damned!
TayTayBallsBecause the prices some of you folks pay for things in the States beats the pants of any prices we pay here in the Antipodes because of as all the mark ups by the time it lands in a bricks and mortar store in the land of Oz!
I just made the drop for this watch and looking forward to receiving it. I'm hoping that it's a quality watch and not just nice to look at. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
I'm a relatively new member of Massdrop but a longtime fan of this watch. Can anyone comment on how often (or not) TW Steel watches are featured here as drops?
