Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Since everyone has a unique ear shape, we'll need ear impression from every member that participates in the drop so that the CIEMs fit you perfectly upon production.
Quick update. Our logistics team will be in touch tomorrow with the 24 members that have participated in the drop with instructions on where to send impressions and deadlines if you want to catch the first batch being sent to Ultimate Ears.
On another note, we're extending the drop for 7 days by multiple requests we've received which has been OKed by the manufacturer. However, this extension will have no impact on the scheduled first batch send-in date, so the timeline for you early adopters to receive your CIEMs remains unchanged.
Assuming you turn around your impressions quickly, it's very possible that they'll be at your house before we ring in the New Year.

The first wave of impressions is being sent out to Ultimate Ears on the 16th of December. That means members should get their impressions to us by then for the fastest turnaround time. After that date, we'll have two subsequent deadlines to get impressions to the address provided, no later than mid January.
This is only possible for the members who go directly to UE in Irvine for their impressions. They've asked us to handle the logistics of shipping batches to them, and then receiving the finished products and distributing to our members.
It sucks that this increases lead time by a bit, but will ensure a smooth process for all involved.
