It would be really helpful to see what the BOG looks like with the drybag detached. What exactly is the "cradle"?

I think the BOG is the most intriguing of the lot, but the pictures are lacking and the description is wrong (it mentions a detachable lid twice when it doesn't have one, and also lists a cinch top when it's just a roll top). Apparently it's a mash-up of the descriptions for multiple packs - Danny Milks, can you fix that? That aside, the potential applications with the removable dry bag are pretty cool. I assume the "cradle" is just the area inside the ring of grey fabric and mesh. I really wish there were some good reviews or videos on the BOG, but I'm struggling to find anything more than the basic description from Vargo. Has anyone else had luck researching it?

idoc72 @idoc72 -- Danny Milks no longer works at Massdrop. The "BOG" is basically two different bags. One that is a bag that attaches to the frame that acts as a 'holder', which the main bag (technically, not a "dry bag") drops down into. It is a strange thing. It works, it is just an approach that I have not seen before. I have the BOG, but I have not gotten any pictures/video of it it.

abelaProbably a good move for Danny, sanity-wise. My thanks to him and the MD crew for always trying to make it right, even when the odds were stacked against them. The BOG is really intriguing. I guess that the "holder bag" is a cradle with mesh pockets on the outside. It would be really cool if Vargo, or J.A., could supply some crucial missing information and photos. What is the weight without the "main bag"? How much does the "main bag" weigh? Is there any drainage hole in the "holder" or drainage system that prevents water from collecting in the "holder" during heavy rains? Is it easy to use a third-party pack cover or does the external frame basically require a special pack cover? My questions are going in the direction of replacing the "main bag" with third-party bags, like a DCF roll top bag. How much volume can the "holder" hold? What kind of lashing and other work arounds would a lighter weight third-party "main bag" require? Phew! That's a lot of questions, I know! Thanks in advance for any response to this. It looks like a really intriguing pack. The AR2 on the other hand looks like a finally matured product in this iteration. Vargo could help by including photos of the pack without the lid, and indicate the weights of the lid and the pack without lid.
