pandoodleThis is way after your initial question but it didn't look like it was answered so I'll give it a try. At the the upper end of the "nail", just below the pull loop, you will see the difference in diameter between the nail head and the main part of the nail. This is where guy line is looped around the nail. Remember that tent pegs are at an angle so the tightened guy loops won't slide off the peg. I use a slippery half hitch with a stick "toggle" in the slippery part for easy removal when breaking camp. Don't like untying knotd
