Product Description
Starting with the successful and popular body design of the VA87M, Varmilo has made the long-desired VB87M. Finally bringing a native-supported Bluetooth 4.0 mechanical keyboard to the market that boasts the same build quality you've come to love, but with the extra features of Gateron switches and full Mac compatibility Read More
It’s time for another update on this Varmilo drop. Our vendor has already shipped out the bulk order, and it is currently en route to our warehouse. We expect to receive the shipment towards the end of next week. However, there is one thing to note. Due to some miscommunication on our end, those of you who ordered the Light Grey Dye-Sub PBT Keycaps were probably under the assumption that these are front printed. In reality, your keycaps will be light grey top printed.
To amend this communication mishap, we have already put in a new order with Varmilo for additional keycaps. In a separate shipment, those of you effected will be receiving an additional set of front printed light grey keycaps.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 7/3 or sooner if something comes up.
Would be nice to hear back from MD in regards to some questions,
1. Does the back-light have a toggle? timed? permanently on?
2. Battery type / battery life
3. Can we use a wired connection vs the Bluetooth connection?
4. Any correct pictures to show the actual options we are given with?
5. Linux compatibility?
6. Someone mentioned a typing bug which effects this model (any information on this?)
um you are the idiot who kept thinking it was 4.0 after i kept proving that the device in the video was 2.1. you were using the video as an example and i was pointing out an error. in the past in this forum post i have described using the feather as that is the only compatible 4.0 device that a keyboard can be made of. as it is a different board though his video would be next to useless for you as the pin-outs and everything are completely different between the 2 boards.
AntonyFaragIt doesn't matter what is in the video. That had nothing to do with my original comment. You're just a damn troll who likes to be contrary online. Pointing out an error? No you didn't. No one spoke about which bluetooth version until you. I never said I was going to use EZ-key. Seriously get lost.
This is so disappointing... I am in love with how the pictured keyboard looks but unfortunately it just doesn't seem like that will be the product we are getting.
The low profile black case with the gray front printed caps resting above it looks so slick but that's not even one of the options at checkout!
Plus, like others have said, there seem to be too many unanswered questions regarding some very important details on this keyboard.
Sad to say but it looks like I'm going to cancel my order and hope for better luck with the next drop of these.
Loving the look and feel of this new keyboard! No issues pairing with my Mac or my Win 7 PC. There are still a few BT kinks to work out. The PBT keycaps are phenomenal - these are my first and they didn't disappoint.
can someone help me out whenever my comp goes to sleep or i shut it off when i turn it back on the keyboard is on and paired but i can't type i have to delete it from bluetooth devices and re-pair it, im on win 10 if that helps can someone help please this is really frustraiting thanks
naftalizuxAnyone ever figure out how to get this keyboard to work properly?? I'm having the same issue when I restart or come out sleep mode on Windows 10 - have to repair every g-damn time... I found the Broadcom BT driver mentioned above, but my Surface Book 2 cannot recognize the driver file...
Shipping to my country costs 55.75 $, that is almost 50% of the keyboard's price.
Is it shipped in an ivory box wrapped in panda fur and sprinkled by unicorn tears??
What the actual fk?
Shipping cost alone makes this keyboard not worth buying -.-'
Understand.
So that is reason why I believe they can ship to Denmark, too.
I just guess, maybe there are different shipping rates to different countries. You can check the shipping rate to Denmark with them.
By the way, I didn't see that store in Amazon European markets.
"...full Mac compatibility"
"We have tested the latest sample and it does not pair with the latest macOS Sierra."
Will the production keyboard pair with my mac running Sierra?
kknittelJust an update on this - I now have a VB87M (not acquired from massdrop) and is working great just using the bluetooth from my mid 2015 MBP. No dongle required like @azdle said.
Are the light gray keycaps front printed or top printed? The pictures show front print but the description in checkout says top print. Also the cap description of the product page does not match the options at checkout. Could someone please clarify?
