Velva Sheen was once ubiquitous. Founded in Cincinnati in 1932, the company produced many of the sweatshirts, T-shirts, jackets, and gym shorts for colleges, camps, schools, and military personnel of the era. And while the brand eventually faded into obscurity, it’s been recently revived by a California-based company seeking the vintage look and American-made quality that defined Velva Sheen a half-century ago.

More durable and better-fitting than the wear-it-once clothing commonly sold today, the Velva Sheen Roll Tee is named for the way it’s packaged—rolled up. It’s made in California from 100-percent soft-washed, ring-spun cotton, which, when coupled with the shirt’s tubular knit construction, makes it the softest Velva Sheen tee available.
See chart below for product measurements. This garment runs small, and some choose to size up one size. Measurements can vary by up to an inch due to the tubular construction.
