I feel somewhat required to mention the lawsuit that Vibram lost several years ago, the conclusion of the suit is that these don’t have any medical benefit that regular shoes do and Vibram intentionally put out false information to make consumers think the shoes were scientifically proven to improve the health of your feet when there was no evidence of that. Still cool shoes and imo could be purchased for just that reason but be aware they are not improving the health of your feet.

Glad to hear you were able to get back out there!
LutavudThat's not entirely accurate. The lawsuit concluded that Vibram overstated benefits that were not supported by current evidence. That doesn't mean that minimalist shoes won't improve the health of your feet, it just means that it hasn't been proven conclusively (yet). However, on that same track, there's incredibly lacking evidence that shoes are good for your feet, too. In fact, many (most?) of the common foot problems people experience in the modern shoe-wearing world are the direct result of the shoes they are wearing. You are actually doing the same thing here that you accuse Vibram of when you say, "be aware they are not improving the health of your feet". Do you have evidence that they *aren't* improving the health of your feet? No, you don't. No one does. There is an overall lack of evidence because there hasn't been enough research, and the research that has been done has sometimes been conflicting or inconclusive. Which matches the vast majority of health and fitness research. Regardless, my personal experience with minimalist footwear (including Vibram FiveFingers) has been absolutely excellent, and I would never consider going back to "traditional" footwear, which I absolutely do believe is detrimental to foot health.

No size 47 in grey/black, but every other size in both colours? Are there really none in that size in grey/black or was it just accidentally missed when entering it to the site? Bummer, literally the size and colour I wanted :( I'd otherwise be all over this, looks like they'd be great for camp shoes, the gym, or just casually around town

demrun242On Vibram's site they are sold out of 46 and 47 . The 2 colors on this drop are close outs meaning they are discontinuing the color. I think you're out of luck unless you want to try 48. These run a size smaller.

I have this exact pair and really like them for travel as a very easy to pack gym / exercise / water shoe.
A heads up though, mine are about a quarter size too tight (not that much of a problem except with my pinky toes), and even though they're extremely snug, the heel does have a tendency to slip off when used while swimming / snorkeling. If you were going to use them exclusively in the water, I'd recommend looking into a model that has some kind of heel lock, or strap.
Heads up #2, the inner lining does not dry quickly, and they will get STINKY if exercised in / swam in on consecutive days, and this is coming from someone who's other shoes don't get like that. If you're going to use them like that, take them off and put them in the sun to dry out as soon as your finished with them.

schiitisniceI'm 10.25 and was able to wear a 41 but it was awful tight and settled on 42. You could be fine but it will be close. As for socks this is a pair I wouldn't go with the toe socks unless you want to delay the inevitable stink. I'll wear socks for long trail runs to protect against hot spots certain pairs give me on uneven terrain.

Since these are offered in the "Ultralight" community, it may be nice to know that the weight listed by Massdrop is actually per shoe, not per pair as stated. So 8.4 ounces for a pair.

Do they not make these in adult sizes???
No love for the big feet here. Not a single option available at size 46+.
My thoughts exactly. I'm a 48-49, and I would have loved to snag 2-3 pairs of these.

ChristopherCashellProbably because they are closing out a style or something and have limited numbers available. I just noticed they listed gold's gym version as a new drop. They have larger sizes (for now) but the price is higher... different shoe I know but still...
