Adding/Including Memories
I lost my dad last year (2023) and have been finding ways to include keepsakes/memories in my workstation. I've dabbled here and there with doing small woodworking projects and attempted a wrist rest from a piece of oak I picked up with him from my great uncles wood shop. I milled it to fit a 60% keyboard as I hadn't decided what keyboard I would be using it on and thought that's where most of my wrist would be in contact even typing on a full keyboard. I gave it a torched/burn appearance as I really was lost in what to do. I found an old shell casing from going hunting with my dad in my hunting pack and decided to imbed it into the end of the wrist rest so it would just have a little difference and a small story behind it as well. I have other things around my workstation from family and friends, but it just feels a little more special having worked on it and adding something small that has a memory for me to it. The problem you are experiencing is:
1.) It does not sleep when the PC is turned off
2.) it does not turn ON when the PC is turned ON (leave sleep mode)?
Questions:
Does the monitor "work" if you power cycle the monitor while the PC is on and communicating a video signal?
If so, have you tried a different cable?
That is the most common issue to address monitors to waking up from sleep followed by: loose cable, damaged/dirty HDMI port (either side), Hibernation settings (win only), and finally a failed capacitor in the monitor itself (defect).
1.) can you try an alternate HDMI cable (problem is rare with DP)?
2.) where are you located if we need to proceed with warranty service?

I would worry most about: styrofoam protection and exterior shipping carton.
It should be on your digital receipt (if you purchased from massdrop).
However, simply upload a copy of the digital receipt that massdrop sent you after your purchase.
To be honest, I am not familiar with exactly what massdrop sends as confirmation of purchase/receipt (I am R&D not so much customer-facing).
I would prefer to have it sent back so we can properly test the monitor to recreate the issue.
We actually take these "small" problems and recreate them to increase our ability to respond to them obn a manufacturing level.
I was assuming you were using the included DP cable and I would like to test that specifically for issues.
However, If you have lost the cable then simply return what you have.
I am not going to worry about a DP cable; my main focus is to expedite your replacement and gte this issue addressed.
