The jaws on the clamp look straight. How well does this hold a thick FFG knife, like say a Manix2 or my Spyderco superleaf? I worry about tilting and an uneven hold.

SmCaudataThis was a major concern of mine as well... My lansky system had an adjustment for that and I thought the Vipersharp not having it wouldnt allow me to get a good hold.... Man was I wrong. The Vipersharp even with the straight clamp actually clamped way better than the lanksy with the adjustment. My Spyderco PM2 was held solid and I was able to achieve a really nice edge on there. I like most of my knives to be FFG so this was a concern for me but it did a great job on my PM2 and Sage1.
SmCaudataYes, this is something I have thought about. I know how to make a clamp system that will hold a full flat grind and I have the design in my mind but it's going to take time to design it and then machine it. It's on the list.
Subiesaurus_R3XI'm glad to hear that. It does seem to grab about anything pretty well but I'll offer even better options in the future.

1stmeridianOkay cool I was thinking of a design in my head too. Love the Vipersharp and the way you're constantly improving it. Great work!
