FYI, I contacted Pentime to see if they could match it (I buy most of my Visconti's from them), and found the conversation interesting. Apparently these are being bought from a distributor that has gone out of business and not coming from an Authorized dealer. Does anyone know if they will covered by warranty or if I want a nib swap, will that be a problem?

jasonRzIf the distributor was legit I would assume they'd be covered but we should find out for sure first.

Thanks, I appreciate you sharing these concerns and the information that was provided to you.
We have no reason to believe the warranty on these 30 pens - which are all genuine Visconti, and will arrive with would be any different than the warranty on the other 970. However, we take this issue very seriously and have already contacted the vendor for clarification.
I personally asked about the origin and authenticity of these pens before setting up this drop. Until I get a confirmation directly from the vendor, I hope that these photos of the Identity Card provided in every box will provide some reassurance.

JonasHeinemanOh, yeah, I didn't even think about authentication being a problem, I figured you had them authenticated prior to the drop by a non-biased 3rd party if they were not bought/sold from an authorized dealer. Card looks legit, although, Ive never seen the card before, so I would not know either way. :) My worry really was, will I get the same support from the Distributor if I want a nib swap? Or can I do that through you if I dont like the nib I like? Sometimes the nibs on these pens can be picky and need some help working perfectly, so I just dont want to be out out of luck if I get a dud. (which unfortunately has happened in the past, not with Visconti, but with a few other Italian brands) Thanks for your time and help.

jasonRzI've the card for the Homo Sapiens Crystal. It looks very much the same as the card posted by JonasHeineman except for the fountain pen code.

jasonRzImportant update for @jasonRz and everyone else:
As is often the case, Massdrop members and the prices that your demand is able to generate have caused a bit of a shakeup in the fountain pen world. Because of this, we've been offered a great opportunity to work with a different vendor than was initially supplying these pens.
Due to this transition, we will be ending the drop early - at 12:00 midnight PST tonight, 3/31.
Visconti warranties and nib exchange policy are still 100% in effect and will be honored as normal. All members, US and international, should refer to this guide for any service questions: http://www.colesoflondon.com/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=18
We hope this will give members a chance to make their decisions about this pen, and give us the ability to make more Visconti models available in the future. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we continue to develop new relationships and offer new brands on the site.

JonasHeinemanNice to strike a new deal but was ending this one early part of the deal? I came back to place my order and saw that it was closed, is the new vendor offering prices this good?

JonasHeinemanHi Jonas, first of all I would like to thank MD for making this drop happen.
However I am having some problems, currently I am waiting on my replacement pen because the first shipment was "lost" with no tracking number, which seemed a little strange. However, a replacement was found, but it is coming to 3 weeks since I had any feedback on the status of my order. I requested for the tracking number of the replacement from italy to MD, onky to be met with silence.
Could I have some current information on my order?
