If you get the 2 way horizontal stand, you'll need to make a small wedge where the VESA mount is mounted to the arm.
Other then needing a little help, this stand is really good for 21$. Glad I didnt pass this one up.

Don't let it discourage you, honestly. It has a mount so its able to bolt through the desk as well. Its what I had to do, but I like it.

And why no international shipping EITHER on this nice drop? Again.. I'm seriously thinking you're not really interested in giving us, your users, a good deal. Just these in the US. Why is that? Can we please have an explanation maybe?

It should be up to people themselves to choose whether they want to pay for the added weight / postage.
What happens: Instead of Massdrop offering items for international shipping with the extra postage expenses it implies, they chose NOT to offer international shipping. How do you think it sounds, honestly? ;)

The vendor is currently working on preparing the last couple of orders for shipment. Based on current estimates these should be shipping next week. We will make sure to update the group once these are on the way.

Individual packages have started to ship! The vendor confirmed earlier that majority of the group's order has been sent out with the rest scheduled for pickup shortly. Once your package is scanned into the courier's system an email will be sent with shipping confirmation and tracking info.

My planning is to mount this inverted. There is shelf above my desk I would like to hang this from so that my desk is completely free for better modeling. Can I do this without major modification?

DevilicousI can see no reason why that wouldn't work. Shouldn't need any modification, the VESA mounts can rotate 360
