Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. The Keyboard layouts doc he recommends explains layout goals and metrics in detail, summarizing the alt layouts discussed here as well as more than one hundred others. It looks like I may have received an extra 1.5 unit key rather than a 1.75 unit, so it's possible that you and others may get two options for your capitalization locking needs. Did earlier drops contain both stepped and standard caps locks?
As it stands now, I have no options. Hopefully Massdrop support will help me sort things out.
Other than that, this set seems nice and I wouldn't mind picking up a 2nd set when it drops again.
Edit: Forgot Vortex is a Chinese company...I finally found their website but I can't figure out what their CS email is.
