Hi! Question, is there any improvements on this over the POKER RGB? I just want to know since I was suprised reading that a *new* improvement was a metal case while the RGB also came with a metal case? Is that not technically a poker 2 or is the RGB a poker 3?

SOFFAs far as I understand it, the Pok3r (3rd version, but 3 in place of the "E"), with no backlighting, came first, and has been out for a while now. This isn't new to MassDrop, this is "dropping" again. After the Pok3r, came the Pok3r RGB, which was the backlit RGB version of the Pok3r, but with ABS keycaps instead of PBT.
So, although the metal case is new to the Pok3r, it's new to the Pok3r, not new to this drop, and the Pok3r has been out for a little while now. Also, I've now seen two other backlit versions: solid white backlit, and solid blue backlit.

NoNeedForSpeedThankyou, And that makes sense! It just sounded new from the text on the drop- glad I got the RGB version and bought some PBT caps then, thanks for your help to this newbie asking all the dumb questions in the book! :-)

NoNeedForSpeedFrom what I notice, the panel which hold the switches right under the keycaps, in this dropping, is different also right? Like black in black-case and white in white-case. I saw some older versions that it's red or white in the black-case version.

BobpThat's a great observation, but the limited number of pictures with angles on the plate make it hard to know for sure.

NoNeedForSpeedAs you mentioned above, the RGB came after this non-back-lit version. There is also a white-back-lit POK3R that was introduced in between. I believe they switched to a white plate starting with the single-color back-lit models while this first POK3R has a case color-matched plate.
edit: Correction, the single-color back-lit is also available with blue LEDs.

RuhRohSo from what I see, the two RGB versions of this drop also have case color-matched plates

RuhRohOh shit that's true :O Couldn't believe I joined this drop because of the RGB (which for some reasons I assume it was)

Bobp@RuhRoh @SOFF @effers @Forral Just for those recently joining this drop, and discussing this very thing, MechanicalKeyboards.com just received a large stock of Vortex boards, including the Pok3r. They have the PBT version, all switch types, and the WHITE only backlit version, with ABS keys, and BLUE only backlit version, with ABS keys.
The only one they don't have in stock yet, but says coming soon, is the RGB backlit with ABS keys.
So, just check your shipping price and ship date on this drop and make your decision accordingly. Just trying to help!

NoNeedForSpeedIndeed. I forgot to link that as the source for my info. The RGBs are due 7/31. I hit their site daily to check received stock. Currently eyeballing the silent red version... Thanks for looking out.

NoNeedForSpeedThanks for the info. I was looking for the RGB so definitely this drop is not for me anymore. Gonna make a pre-order from MechanicalKeyboards.

SOFFThis one has PBT keycaps while the RGB one has ABS with an atrocious font.

ZauberklavierI have the TaiHao Miami keycap set.. they might be in some eyes equally atrocious - but I like the colorway (atleast until I get the Nautilus and Carbon sets that also were on massdrop these past 2 months)! Thanks for your reply though boii! :-)
